- Yiddish translation of letter drafted in English. Translated Summary: June Gordon notes she sent a list out under separate cover a list of items shipped in five crates of new clothing [for children in the homes, orphanages, in France]. With that letter they also sent a copy of the bill of lading, and of the insurance policy. Goods went out a couple of days before Sandler's return to U.S.. Offers specific suggestions regarding adoption and the use of images of the children for fundraising.
- Notes:
- The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
