- Description:
- This is the upper portion of a cast of a relief of a bearded guard climbing a staircase from the Apadana at Persepolis housed in the British Museum. Preserved here is a band of three large rosettes running at an oblique angle. Below the rosettes is a narrow relief band below which the very top of the guard's pleated headdress and the tip of his spear are visible. This cast is preserved in two pieces. This record belongs with ID no. 363, which is the lower portion of the relief containing the guard.
