- Description:
- This is a reduced copy of the complete frieze from the Temple of Apollo Epikourios at Bassai. The frieze is divided into five registers, with scenes from the Amazonomachy above and those from the Centauromachy below. The two themes are divided at the center of the third row by Apollo and Artemis on a chariot pulled by stags (British Museum no. 1815,1020.11). This cast does not appear in the Sage catalog. It is not known when it was acquired by Cornell University.
