- Description:
- Three horsemen (figs. 109-111) and three horses, in profile, process towards the viewer's left. Fig. 109 is very badly damaged in the original. All that remains of him is his left hand, gripping (non-extant) horse reins. Fig. 110, wearing a belted chiton, boots, and an alopeke (fox-skin cap), looks ahead and bends his left arm at a right angle. His horse's head is missing. Fig. 111 also faces forward, wears a belted chiton and boots, and bends his left arm. The head of his horse faces ahead and is foregrounded against fig. 110, obscuring fig. 110's shoulder. The horse following but overlapping fig. 111 rears up slightly and tilts its head skyward. The left leg of the rider (fig. 112) of this horse, his hand, and some of the folds of his chiton are also contained in this frieze block.
