- Description:
- This is a cast of an inscription from the Treasury of the Megarians at Olympia, built at the end of the sixth c. BCE. The inscription, carved during Roman times, was located at the center of the building's architrave on the facade and identifies it as that of the Megarians: Μεγα̣ρ̣έων. (IvO 653) The cast in Cornell's collection is broken into two pieces (only one of which is represented in the photo attached to this record) and represents only the viewer's right half of the block (έων).
