- Description:
- This is a damaged cast of a section of fig. E from the east pediment of the Parthenon. Preserved here is the upper body of a draped, seated female figure who is most often identified as Demeter or Persephone. In this cast her body is missing below the abdomen, her left arm is missing, and her right arm is broken away above the wrist. The figure sits on a square stool or chest, part of which is extant here.
