- Description:
- This is a damaged cast of a section of figure D, most often identified as Dionysus, from the east pediment of the Parthenon. It preserves much of the reclining torso of the figure, who was cast in several sections. Squared dowel holes at the neck and thighs were used for attachment of the head and legs to the figure. The right arm is chipped at the join just below the shoulder and the left arm is missing below the shoulder.
