- Description:
- This is a fragment from the lower right side of a cast of an extant portion of South XLVII, itself a fragmentary and damaged frieze block. Preserved here are the lower legs and drapery of two herdsmen (figs. 147 and 148), the neck, chest, and front legs of the bull they escort, and the draped lower half of of the body of the procession leader (fig. 149), who is turned to frontal. This is the final block of the south frieze before the composition turns the corner to meet with the east frieze.
