- "Deborah Rabinowitz 1947-1987 Professor of EcologyThis photograph of Deborah Rabinowitz was taken in 1982 at the site of Custer's Last Stand on the the Little Bighorn River in Wyoming. This was one of the study sites for her investigations of prairie grasses, which formed the basis for her classic work on the seven forms of rarity. Deborah's book collection was generously donated by her husband, Peter Ewell, for use by the members of the Section of Ecology and Systematics.
