- "Snee Hall named in honor of William E. Snee '24. This building was made possible by the gifts of William and Katherine Snee, the Joseph N. Pew, Jr. Charitable Trust and others and is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of mankind through the Geological Sciences. October 8, 1984." At main (northwest) entrance. A similar plaque is located at the southeast entrance. The "others" mentioned above are the Leland Fikes Foundation, the Chevron Fund, Mr. and Mrs. George Hoi Brook, and Mr. Meyer Bender.
