- 'FUIO' Third in a Series of Nine 15 cm x 10 cm
- Description:
- John Clair Miller created these collages while in residence at the newly established art studio at the Kolsstadir farm, Iceland, located on the edge of the highlands [route 518 near Husafell and the glacier Langjokull] in June 2004 and after. The materials used were selectively collected [without knowledge of the language of Iceland] from layers of past and recent posters mounted on the walls of the streets in Reykjavik. The compositions are formal constructs without subject matter. The images were influenced by the nature of the materials collected - their formal and typographical characteristics, as well as their color. They were also influenced by the powerful and unique landscape forms in the area of Kolsstadir. “KOLSSTADIR 04” Published by 14817 Images. Amazon.com
