- Description:
- Ellis likely made this image at the dedication of the statue of Benjamin Franklin in 1906. John H. Harjes, an American finacier in Paris, gave the monument to the city on the bicentennial of Franklin's birth and placed it on Rue Benjamin Franklin (sixteenth arrondissement), near wher e Franklin had lived in Passy while serving as American emissary.
