- Description:
- Built and functioned as the new cultural and administrative capital of the Mughal Empire
comprises two main palaces and a mosque complex. Dates: second half of the 16th C., probably 1568-1583. Built by Akbar (1542-1605, reg. 1556-1605). - Notes:
