- Description:
- Looking down a narrow busy street toward an archway with many onlookers on either side. There is bright sunlight, the camera seems to be in the road, at head height, and the archway is in the center of the image. The street ahead is cleared as far as the arch, which is set in a thick stone wall. To the left and right are dozens of people lining the road, looking back at the camera; they are blurry with motion. The people are under or just in front of a number of awnings jutting out to the curb, and more awnings can be seen beyond the arch, they are perhaps vendors' stalls. The impression is of dense movement briefly interrupted.
- Notes:
- Mounted albumen print.
