- Description:
- View looking across a leafless orchard, at a French town terraced up a hillside, with a mountain in the distance. The lines of trees, the hillside, and the side of the mountain are all similar gentle angles, lower on the left and both higher and farther away on the right. The buildings in the town are low, rectangular, and whitewashed, with narrow windows. Atop the hill are a tower and partial building with empty windows, perhaps the ruins of a castle?
