Description:
One in a series of photos showing Schneemann, a a slim, light skinned woman in her mid-30s, performing her piece "Interior Scroll." The basic lines of Schneemann's body are outlined in paint, and her hair is braided back from her face. She is on top of a folding table, her feet flat on the table, knees bent, hips pushed toward the ceiling and weight on her right shoulder and left hand. She's facing away from the camera, her head toward the right side of the frame, nude except for a half apron tied around her waist, the muscles of her back flexed. She is reading from a stack of papers.
