Blackface
Blackface entertainers - Description:
- Backlot image from the filming of "Anyone's War" (American, 1930) with several seated white men in discussion below a camera and lights. On the right are comedy duo Moran and Mack (George Moran and Charles Mack) in costume and blackface wearing shabby mismatched menswear. They're looking intently at an unidenfiied man, and are observed by the film's director Richard Wallace, who has a large script book on his lap. This group is observed by two other light skinned men standing behind them.
- Notes:
- Men reviewing a script on a movie set, with two men in blackface.
