- Description:
- A group of about 20 white people, including several models, gathered around the artwork "Cannibal Feast" by Meret Oppenheim, looking into the camera. "Cannibal Feast" is a table with a woman's body covered in food (fruit, lobsters, etc), in the foreground, near the knees, is fashion model Gitta Schilling, leaning coolly on her elbow on the table, wearing a fur collared coat, and Andre Breton is seated at the head of the table in a flannel suit, with a blank expression. Others are standing or sitting closely together, dressed in formal or occasionally fanciful dress, most notably a man to Breton's right wears a domino mask, and a model opposite Schilling wears a leopard print coat. The photo flash is reflected in a mirror behind the group. Taken for Vogue magazine.
