New York, N.Y. - Measurement:
- 10.8 x 8.6 (centimeters, height x width)
- Description:
- Portrait of Iris, a medium dark skinned trans woman with arched eyebrows, smokey eyeliner, a wedge haircut wig, and shiny dark red lips. She is looking directly at the camera with a level stare, the bright highlight on her forehead and her left cheek make her eyes looks as though they're focusing in slightly different directions. She wears a dark orange, leopard-print top with puffed sleeves and a v-collar. The background is plain, and a thick white border surrounds the image.
- Notes:
- The Herbert F. Johnson Museum holds over 100 Polaroid portraits taken by Warhol, as well as another 50 or so gelatin silver prints. All are accessible digitally through eMuseum.
