- Description:
- Whole plate tintype with subtle hand-coloring, taken of the brother and sister before Simon Henry went to Cornell in 1873. Mary Hannah stands in a long dark dress, witth dark trim, and with a plaid neckercheif and big white beads at her neck. She leans her left arm across her brother's shoulders. Simon Henry is seated in a three-piece suit, only the topmost button of his jacket is buttoned. He has dark wavy hair and a dark moustache. The siblings gaze past each other toward opposite sides of the frame, there is no backdrop behind them.
