- Description:
- Eleven rowers and their coach (or captain) sitting in theree rows, the coach in the center. The rowers, all light skinned young men, wear sleeveless shirts with thick horizontal stripes, most with a medal pinned to the chest, short light colored shorts, and canvas sneakers, while the coach wears a sport jacket with thick vertical stripes and a tie. The rowers look in many different directions, but the coach stares directly into the camera. They are arranged in front of a painted backdrop, and the rower in the front right holds a rudder and a length of rope on his lap.
