- A young African American woman watches at least seven sewing machines working simultaneously. The woman, dressed in a long-sleeved dark shirt, and high-contrast plaid skirt, has her back angled slightly toward the camera, but is turning her head to the left; she is biting her lips together. The tops of the thread spool apparatus on each machine is at least as tall as the young woman.
