International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union - Description:
- A large group of African American children gathered in front of a sign encouraging people to register to vote. It reads "Avoid long lines later... REGISTER between NOW and Aug 28th." The sign is attached to the left side of a car, which is parked at the curb, and is fitted with metal stairs and a platform on top. The camera is a bit overhead, behind a person with dark hair, reading a sheet of paper. The children look mostly happy or excited; they're generally looking toward the camera, some have a hand raised. Everyone is dressed for warm weather. Behind the children, next to the front wheel of the car, several adults are sitting at a table. The two people visible on the car-side of the table, a man and a woman, are likely registering voters. The man is filling out a form, the woman handing over a piece of paper, each looking intently at the women seated across from them. Beyond the table is a medium-sized urban intersection with divided lanes and some pedestrians on either side of the street.
