- Description:
- Slightly askew photograph looking from the customer side of a Formica lunch counter toward the employee side. In the foreground, on the counter, are various glass salt, sugar, pepper and other shakers, as well as a white coffee cup. On the other side of the counter is a quilted-look metal wall, several coffee pots on heating pads, and a sign saying "chow mein." In the right half of the frame is a light skinned woman wearing a white, short-sleeved uniform, looking down at something flat she's holding on the lunch counter.
