Brazil - Measurement:
- 40 x 49.9 (centimeters, height x width)
- Description:
- Looking down into an active pit mine across ladders of people hauling material to the surface. Cutting across the frame from the lower right to the upper left are two wood and rope ladders, completely laden with people from top to bottom and side to side carrying cloth bundles on their backs, tensioned with cloth around their heads. Beyond the ladders to the right we can see further down into the mine. The active lip of the mine has a thick half circle of people around it, and more approaching from the top corner of the image. In the foreground are two people nearing the top of a ladder.
- Notes:
- Matted gelatin silver print.
