- Description:
- Posed photo looking down an aisle of female workers at sewing machines in an unidentified garment or shoe factory. The women all wear short sleeves, and have their hair braided up. There's a group of women and one man at the end of the aisle, the other women (and one other man) are seated in hard-backed chairs at their machines. Everyone is looking at the camera, unsmiling. Each machine is equipped with large spools of thread, in varying tones. There is a row of windows along the left side of the frame, and more visible in the back wall of the room with bright sunlight.
