- This is a cast of the head from a statuette of a pharaoh wearing the Egyptian blue crown. Based on the the facial proportions of the figure it is possibly to be identified as the Eighteenth Dynasty pharaoh, Akhenaten. The cast has been painted a dark red, perhaps in an attempt to recreate the appearance of an original in red quartzite. After a lengthy search, the original from which this cast was produced continues to elude identification.
