- Description:
- Plain round button with attached loop. Backmark "EXTRA FINE" in an inner circle around the shank, and "ORANGE [wreath] LONDON" in an outer ring. The orange term indicates that it was originally gilt. This size may have originally been used on a military or civilian vest, or possibly as a cuff button. This button may have been found, handed down from an owner, or covertly taken by a house slave.
