- Description:
- Polished rectangular stone chisel or small adze. Brown stone, probably siltstone. Flaked and pecked, then ground and polished to a very smooth finish
rectangular in shape with a slipper-shaped profile. The nearly flat bottom is almost completely polished, as is one side
the opposite side is unpolished
the top is well polished along the curve leading to the cutting edge, then moderately for the middle third, then unpolished for the third at the butt end. - Bibliography:
