- Description:
- Handle of a flaked stone dagger. Mottled medium-grey flint. Well pressure-flaked, with a lenticular, almost diamond-shaped cross-section, with blunt retouch along the edges of the hilt
the hilt end was left unfinished, with a small spot of cortex from the original stone surface remaining. Broken at the base of the cutting blade, just above the hilt. This is a "Type V-B" dagger, originally it would have had a leaf-shaped blade extending from the characteristic "fish-tail" handle. - Bibliography:
