northern - Measurement:
- 4.8 x 1.6 x 0.4 (centimeters)
- Description:
- Long-tanged point, or arrowhead. Medium-grey flint, with a patch of original cortex or weathered patination on the dorsal surface. Made by pressure-flaking bifacially on a pointed bladelet to produce the tang or stem at the proximal end of the bladelet, keeping the striking point. This, with a moderately pronounced bulb of percussion, results in a noticeable curve in profile, slightly S-shaped. This is similar in form and production to a Font-Robert point of the Perigordian.
