A young man of the aristocratic class of the Yi Dynasty in full scholar's dress. He wears an ordinary overcoat (called 'topo' or 'chongjibok') a black, wide-brimmed 'kat' (black horsehair hat) 'taesahye' (black silk shoes) and a string belt with a tassel tied over the coat. This again is an image taken in a studio setting. The early history of photography in Korea is very little researched, so it is difficult to attribute the image to one photographer.
