- At Cornell 1892-1912 department of Geology. "Ralph Stockman Tarr 1864-1912. Scientist-Writer-Teacher. This boulder - a relic of the Ice Age - symbolic of his research in Glacial Geology and of the Enduring Value of his Works is placed here as a memorial of their Friend and Advisor by his students." Portrait plaque on an anorthosite boulder seat, artist H. S. Gutsell. Bronze plaque cast in the University foundry. At southwest corner McGraw Hall.
