- "Willard Straight rock garden. 'Accuse not nature, she hath done her part, do thou but thine.' Milton. To all of those who have done their part this garden is dedicated. To the vision of those who began it, to the toil of those who have nurtured it, and to the generosity of those whose gifts ensure its future this plaque commemorates the 50th year restoration of the garden, made possible from the gifts by the Elizabeth Ring Mather and William Gwinn Mather Fund, the Quill and Dagger Society, the Sphinx Head Society, and gifts made in memory of Miriam Cohen Boochever, Louis C. Boochever '12, Foster M. Coffin '12, James L. Palcic, Carl F. Wedell '24. June 10, 1983." South of Willard Straight Hall.
