- West windows, south to north: St. Clara. [Founded Order of Franciscan Nuns 1253]. St. Mary. St. Lucia. [Virgin and martyr of Syracuse, her festival is celebrated December 13. She is supposed to have lived during the reign of Diocletian (284-305)]. Inscribed on the glass below these 3 figures: "In loving memory of Mary A. D. White born Feb. 10, 1836, died June 8, 1887. Her children up and call her blessed. Her husband also praises her." (Andrew D. White's first wife). Elihu Yale 1718. [(1649-1721) patron of Yale College]. Sir Thomas Bodley 1598. [(1545-1613) founder of the Bodleian Library at Oxford c. 1598, practically the earliest public library in Europe]. John McGraw 1871. [(1815-1877) benefactor of Cornell University]. Inscribed on the glass below these 3 figures: " In memory of John McGraw this window is erected by the trustees of Cornell University. 1883."
