- Emeritus Trustee and Presidential Councillor, Austin H. Kiplinger (1918- ), Chairman of Cornell University Board of Trustees (1984-1989), and member of the Cornell Board of Trustees since 1961. Kiplinger is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the Cornell class of 1939. Kiplinger is a distinguished journalist with a career spanning more than five decades as a reporter, broadcast commentator and editor, specializing in business and political affairs. He holds the position of editor emeritus of the Kiplinger organization, and served as publisher of The Kiplinger Letter, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine and Kiplinger.com.
The Austin H. Kiplinger bench in front of McGraw Tower at Cornell University is dedicated in his honor. Clifford H. Schule (ca.1918-2000) was an American portrait artist and sculptor from Brooklyn, New York. Schule’s notable portrait subjects included James Baker and Henry Kissinger. Previously, he was a senior sculptor for the Franklin Mint, Philadelphia, and a commercial artist-illustrator. He studied art at the Art Students League, New York City, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia. - Source:
