- Wooden Scabbard: a long flat piece of wood which is hollowed out in the center to hold a sword, is painted or stained black except at the upper end, on the lower end two elaborate bronze ornaments cover two wooden projections, much of the upper end is wrapped with cloth and decorated with beads, a strap attached by a brass buckle, is also decorated with beads
