- Inferior portion convex. Superior portion flat, red slipped and incised for line and negative effects. Paste: coarse ground sherd temper, grainy texture, no luster. Surface finish: Inf. surf. -rough smoothing only. Sup. surf. -smoothed, red slip applied, plished, incised and/or excised in a curvilinear but unrecognizable motif. Slip: hardness: 3 thickness: .5mm Color: 10 8. 4/6 , moderate gloss Decoration: Incision and slight excision in a curvilinear pattern of which neither symmetry nor motif are identifiable.
