- Description:
- Traces of red paint around rim only. Much crackle of surfaces.
Surface finish: Difficult to determine if surfaces are paste or slip over paste. Though most of surface has gone to crackle, does not seem slipped but rather polished surface of a buff or yellow fired ware. Medium sized grainules of a non-plastic but unknown temper yield a texture in areas of crackle and erosion. In the last remaining arras of polished surface, a moderate gloss occurs. Red paint was applied along the ext. edge of the rim.
Decoration: Red paint along edge of rim. 10 R 4/6.
Firing:Firing: buff or yellow-firing
