Flat side is stained or smoke blackened middle of rounded side has red stain or oxidation.
Paste: very coarse ground sherd temper, grainy texture, no luster.
Surface finish: rubbed or worn to smooth surface with no luster temper visible at surface no slip, paint, or decoration.
Firing: buff-firing 10 YR 6/2 light brownish grey on surface.
