- Description:
- Covered with white slip, incised with parallel rectilinear with red retrace. Traces Red paint on rim. Paste: coarse ground sherd temper, grainy texture, no luster. Surface finish: smoothed prior to application of white slip, probably polished, then incised in .5 mm lines and retraced with red. some orange staining on ext. surface. Slip: Hardness: 3 Thickness: .5mm Color: 10 YR 6.5/3 pale brown Decoration: Incised lines with red retrace in rectilinear S design. Color of retrace is dark red 10 R 3/6. Firing: Red-firing mostly complete to 2.5 YR 5.5/4
