- Inferior portion slightly convex with smoke blackened center. Superior surface flat, white slipped with faint traces red paint. Much chipped and worn around edges
crackle on both surfaces. Paste: very coarse ground sherd temper, grainy texture,. no luster Surface finish: Inf. surf. smoke blackened center in raised convex relief with several small punch marks. Sup. surf. - fine textured, matte white slip with traces red paint. Slip: Hardness: 3 Thickness: < .5 mm Color: 10 YR 7/3 Decoration: slipped surface has only traces of red paint (10 R 5/4) possibly in geometric pat. Firing: red-firing
