- This is a plaster cast of a resting duck that was perhaps made for or by the Caproni brothers as a model for artists. The duck sits up on its feet on a low, rectangular base and bends its neck to rest its head and beak on its chest. Eyes are small indentations. No feathers are indicated and the modeling is very smooth. The stamp of the Caproni Brothers is on the bottom of the base. This specific work has yet to be located in a Caproni cast catalog. See no. 14080 in the 1931 catalog (p. 30) for a similarly molded duck.
