This is a sizeable fragment of red slate manufacturing debris. It was apparently intended to be trapezoidal bead but shows evidence for several forming attempts-- there are score marks on one face, a perforation break on one edge, and an incomplete perforation on another. Kurt Jordan, Archaeologist
