This is a large, faceted "five-sided," clear golden glass bead with a patinated exterior. This bead is closest to type WIIc4 in the system derived by Kenneth and Martha Kidd, which is often used by archaeologists to classify beads. This is a wire-wound bead-- wire-wound beads are created by winding heated glass around metal wire and then shaping while the glass is still hot. Dusti Bridges, Archaeologist
