This photograph shows artifacts from the White Springs site in the process of being washed and sorted in the McGraw Hall lab at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. These materials are from a plow-mixed layer at the site, consisting of both Seneca-era materials (like broken pieces of animal bone) and artifacts from the 19th-20th century Euroamerican occupation of the site (like pieces of brick and coal).
