This photograph shows a cross-section of a possible Seneca-era post (Post Mold 109) at the White Springs site; one half of the feature has already been excavated. Post Mold 109 proved to be somewhat ambiguous upon excavation; it appears to have been a shallow stain that tapered to a flat base. Further analysis may reveal additional information about this soil stain. The photograph is quite dark because the trench was covered with a tarp that day to shield it from heavy rain.
