This photograph shows the trench dug to expose the possible palisade area at the White Springs Site (Trench 2) fully cleaned to show cultural features, facing northwest. The black-painted markers represent the locations of all dark soil stains thought to represent Seneca-era features at the time the photo was taken; subsequent information has changed the interpretation somewhat. Larger markers are associated with larger stains. The picture shows re-excavated units from 2014 and Extensions A through F, but not Extension G which was dug on the last day of the excavation (10 July 2015). Kurt Jordan, Archaeologist
