- This image shows the "negative impression" of a small Seneca-era post (Post Mold 61) at the White Springs site. A negative impression is what remains after all cultural soil has been scooped out, and it shows what the original edge of the post looked like when it was constructed by the site's residents. Excavation revealed that the post had a very regular profile, was driven deeply into subsoil, and tapered to a distinct point. The other excavation to the right is associated with Feature 44.
