White Springs Post Mold 53
White Springs - File Name:
- ws022.jpg
- Work Type:
- maps, diagrams, excavation photos
- Materials/Techniques:
- digital photograph
- Description:
- This image shows the "negative impression" of a post (Post Mold 53) at the White Springs site. A negative impression is what remains after all cultural soil has been scooped out, and it shows what the original edge of the post looked like when it was in use by the site's residents. The south part of the stain already had been removed. The stain is a deep, slightly-tapered Seneca-era post that formed part of the vestibule/entryway wall for House 3.
